Select and move multiple objects

I can't figure this out!

I have made a beach scene and I want to move/reposition a whole set of objects and 2 models, but when I select them all and trying to move them then only just one object of all selected objects moves. There has got to be a way to move everything at once right?

    Try this, hope it helps...

Select the items you want to move as a single unit.

    Then on the main menu

    Create>New Group

On the popup menu for making the group clcik "Show Options"

select "Parent Selected item(s) to new group"

in "Label" give your group a name. Can't be the same as anything else in the scene.

    Click "accept".

Select new group you just made in the scene.

On the "Parameters" pane you can now use the "Translate" sliders to move them as a single unit without changing their relative position.

You can also use the viewport gizmo to drag the group around.

I am going to try that, thanks :)

  • Another option, if you don't want to group them, is to enable the secondary nodes option for translation in the Tool Settings pane - then moving one with the Viewport Gizmo will cause the others to follow.
