I got the Daz Por Beta free and it is not showing up in the Download Manager?

And what are the repercussions of installing the Beta?

When the next version of Daz is released will it overwrite the beta?

Can the beta mess up my system?

You need to go into filters and enable 'public builds' or somthing like that.

You can only have one beta at a time. A new beta will overwrite the one you have.

The beta is an independant setup, relative to your normal Daz Studio.

Thank you Felis for this speedy reply and info!

Will the public beta automatically assume the same folder hierarchy as my regular Daz Studio build?

Where is the filters dialogue in Daz or the DM?

(I found the filters in DM)

I am gonna try installing the Beta, Wish me luck!

WOW! Having two instances of Daz Studio open at once using the beta AWESOME!

Hello Chris Polomino, thanks for your moderation suggestion.

Before I close this thread and mark it "Solved" I will leave info in it so others can solve it as well,

and not have to go on an extended search regarding how to get the Beta up and running.

First, I will explain where to find the "filter" dialogue so you can enable the public builds.

Open the Daz Download Manager and in the "Ready to Download" tab you will see a "Download Filters" box (something I had never noticed before).

Click the Download Filters box and a dialog box will open.

Scroll down in the dialogue box till you reach "Channel Release Tags"

Put a check in the box, "Public Build" then close the dialogue box

you may need to close and reopen the Download Manager or refresh it, or, the Beta and a few other files may just appear in the

Ready to download product list. (I don't recall which is the case)

I put a check mark in all of the new boxes on files that appeared and let the Download Manager install them.

And thanks IceCrMn for the link to the beta discussion.

    Thanks for the help peeps!
