How to Autofit Pants to G9?

What's the trick to fitting pants from previous generations to G9? I've tried approximating the T or A poses, but I haven't been able to get the shins inside the pants. Ditto with shoes.

Not sure what the problem is, I just tried 4 pants from G3 to G8 and all autofit just fine. Shoes can be hit or miss, but this is to be expected from my experience with every other new figure release
I just loaded Ivar 9, left him in the default pose, the loaded MI Henley Casual Outfit for G8M and G8.1M pants using auto-fit, selected G8M, then Base, and the Bodysuit Loose Template. The pants move to cover his legs from the A-pose to where his legs are. I find the 'loose' options to be the best in many different cases.
For the boots, I ended up hiding the toes, playing with the adjustments on the sides of the boots ankles and shins. Not sure if making the feet smaller would work also.
And other outfits, I have no issues at all, others the sliders work fine, some are a dead loss. I have the RSSY conversion package G8 to G9 but haven't used it yet.
I have had some luck with high heels also. I have no basis as to why, it may come down to the quality of the heel in question? But I also don't go into spike high heels.

@FSMCDesigns & @memcneil70 Thanks for responding. I was trying to fit some G2F jeans from Horror Survivors - Cris for V6 and Leather Bodysuit for G3F onto G9 that were already fitted to G8.1F. Perhaps the problem was that the items were already fitted to G8.1F. I'll try starting from scratch. Thanks again.
That's really strange. Pants are usually one of the easier things to get autofit to work with.
When making several generations of clothing fits: Fit to them one at a time.
G2 = > G3 then save it.
Fresh scene G3 => G8 then save it.
G8 => G9 [use the G8 clone that came with G9], then save it.
Fresh scene G9 with the converted G8 clothing, select the clothing and look for any morphs that may have come along for the ride. If none exist that resize the pant legs for this product, make some morphs ;-)
