OOT Liv Hair Broken?

When I render a character wearing OOT's Liv Hair for G3/8F, Daz Studio 4.21.1.26 beta crashes.  It worked (and works) OK with 4.12, which I have kept around for just such an event.   The crash occurs on both my Mac and my PC.

Before I submit a support request, can someone else confirm this behavior, or dis-confirm it?

  • This is a known issue with several OOT hairs - I think the fix is to remove any map from transmitted colour (Surfaces pane).

    I have this problem with Dallas PigTail Hair, Madeline Tails and Marigold Hair.

    Solution that worked for me: selecting all surfaces of the hair and apply the standard Uber Iray shader.

    So I think the problem are not the maps but the used hairblending shader.

    Is DAZ already working on solving this issue or do I need to open Tickets for every Hair that crashes?
