Monster Silhouette 01 and the Ravager Parasite [Commercial]

I've fallen out of the habit of starting threads about my own stuff, but I wanted to take a moment to mention the Ravager Parasite and his first two completed expansion characters.

I'm a little bit excited about it, because if it catches on, it means I can spend more time making cool creatures and less time making corrective blend shapes, leading to savings for you and more fun for me.

What you're getting with the Ravager Parasite is actually two things.  The alien creature, and Monster Silhouette 01.  Monster Silhouette 01 is hidden under the hood.

Monster Silhouette 01 looks a little bit derpy on the surface, but to me he's a thing of beauty. I wish I'd thought of something like this ten years ago. The things I could have made by now.

With the extreme creatures I create, Half the work goes into sculpting and texturing the monster, and half the work goes into making the thing bend right.  I will tell you, the correctives side of things is not the fun side. It's a slog.

With this guy and his extended family, I was able to sculpt the initial strong silhouette, do all the corrective blend shapes, and then iterate three distinctive creatures off of it.  I sell them to Daz for less.  Daz sells them to you for less, I get to go back to sculpting other cool things. You get more exciting things to play with.

I'm excited for the possibilities if this is an approach the market embraces, different distinctive silhouettes and their corrective blend shapes, a legion of diverse creatures. Change the head, resculpt the feet, throw on some hair and a tail, you've got a burly werewolf.  Throw some extra arms on there, and a bunch of mutant faces covering his body, maybe expose the rib cage, you've got something that evokes the Callisto Protocol.  It's taking the adaptability of the genesis platform, zeroing in on a specific inhuman body type, and creating better faster creatures at lower prices.

Should have figured it out a decade a go, thought of it last month instead, now I can't stop thinking about the possibilities.

If you do/would make the head morph possible to be dialed in seperately, using the different bodies with each of the different heads are/would be a great benefit for Your customers smiley

Isn't it wonderful when you have an epiphany?... I always wanna go back in time and smack myself in the back of the head, for not thinking of whatever it was sooner.

BTW the base figure looks kinda cool to me... not at all derpy... not all space monsters have to have space dermatitis... smooth skin is good too... especially for someone of amphibious heritage.

Base bro looks like he enjoys a good joke... granted it might be the crunching of bones, but still he looks like a fun dude.

  • Yep, creating the Genesis Monster base figure is an enormous achievement, definitely impressive. To take it a step or two further, will you open it up to other PA's to create further characters/morphs? Regards, Richard.

I think this is a cool approach! I rarely use morphs as they come, so something like this would probably make it easier to combine the different variations into something new while still keeping the overall look intact.

It's not a base figure, it's just a shape.  The potential products you describe  would have to work like any additive shape, as my own add-on products do. The end product would have to require Monster 01 and its jcms.  They could not include them.

As you are promoting your own commercial product this thread should be tagged as [Commercial].
