Ambient Occlusion not supported
Renderwarrior

Hi!
I'm using the latest Hexagon under OSX Mountain Lion, on a MacPro with an ATI 5870.
No ambient occlusion? (that's what a box says to me)
Or it's just me that i'm missing something?
Thanks! :)

Hexagon does not have a render engine, so the ability to have ambient occlusion is not part of Hexagon.
It is quite worrying when even the developers of the application are unaware of the programs functions/options.
No wonder bugs do not get fixed.
Well, so, could you tell me please why under windows, i was able to use it?
No plugins added, just after a fresh installation...
It was slow, but there was ambient occlusion.
I never had the time for learn hexagon as i would, but i'm sure about this feature in previous releases.
So, it has been removed, or there's something missing in the mac release?
Hello,
It as been buggy for quite a long time. It is in need of an update/upgrade, like the rest of the programme.
I never used it too deep, so i'm unaware of bugs. This is the first thing i noticed.
To be honest, i was thinking it would have never been able to run under mountail lion... I was thinking it still was powerPC!
No?
that is a shadow model button. ambient occlusion works on both my macs.
Your graphics card at a minimum must be running ogl 2.1 for it to work in hex
Close but no cigar...
No?
You are correct there is an AO option in Hex along with limited rendering capability.
