Iray renders suddenly going black

Can somebody please explain this? I have a scene, out-of-the-box, of a nightclub at night. It seems to render fine UNTIL you start moving the camera around. There are no cutout planes or obstacles in the way of the camera view. It's an Iray issue, as the same thing occurs in both Preview Mode as well as straight out renders.

Here is a link to a screen capture showing the issue in real time: https://gofile.io/d/1Mjw8Y

I've run into similar issues in the past with commercial environments where renders are fine on the outside of an enclosed building, but once inside no amount of lighting or camera tricks will yield anything but a black render.

And what does it look like from a view where you can see where the camera is placed in the scene?

This looks like it's the After Midnight Club. If so check out this other thread - basically it appears to be an issue with the glass in the ceiling. Solutions are in that thread.

Wow, that's bizarre. I never would have figured this out by myself. Thanks for the lead!
