creating morphs by exporting visible geometry

Ok I actually did not expect this to work in the first place

but since it does I would like to know why it does what it does and not what I expected.

I use the geometry editor to hide selected vertices

I export the obj after translating it

I reveal my vertices

I use morph loader pro and choose primary selection only

I import my part obj

it creates a morph on those vertices only translating just the OUTER EDGES of those selected vertices in a very soft selection

now I had not actually expected it to work at all so that is a bonus but why just the outer edges and not all the exported polygons?

  • Can you go into more detail after hiding the selected vertices in geometry editor. I don't understand "translating it".

I had to edit my post to see what you were refering to it was so long ago

they changed how the geometry editor functions so it may no longer work, it used to keep vertex order as the points were still there but not the polygon faces so worked in morph loader

I meant just moving the visible bits by translating to create an obj export for morphloader pro
