Character save bug

The last week I have encountered some kind of bug after I saved a custom model. Whenever I use 'Mina HD G8.1' as the base model and after that replace the skin and eyebrows with that of an other (G8) model and save it as a character the changes do not save for some reason. When I load the saved customized 'character' version it loads with the default Mina skin and fibermesh eyebrows again, only the custom shape and pose is saved. I have never encountered that before in the 2 years I use DS! I can bypass it by saving the custom setup as a material preset and a wearable preset, but obviously I rather just load the custom model complete right away.

Is the data of the Mina model corrupted somehow or is there something else going on? How do I correct this issue? Or is it better to create a support ticket?

    For saving Character Preset with wearables like Brows, Eyelashes, etc., you have to check and change the values in Post Load Settings when saving Character Preset... Otherwise, as default, the Hierarchical Materials preset of Mina will be still reloaded to your new character, and Eyebrows for sure.

    I used CHB Eden 8.1 as an examle for changing Mina's skin materials and Eyebrows. The settings are shown in the attached screenshots:

    1) Load Eden's skin preset to Mina. Remove Mina's eyebrows and add Eden's, plus eyebrows material;

    2) Save Character Preset.. Open Post Load settings:

    3) Firstly delete the Preset subsettings of Tears:

    4) Change settings of Eyelashes and Brows to Eden's:

    You have to manually paste Eden's eyebrows' AssetName (Eden_BROWS3_26400) to the String. It could be found in Eyebrow's Scene Identification.

    Save and load Character Preset. Done~

    Actually for this case, the quickest workaround is that I may firstly load Eden, change her shape to Mina, then save Character Preset, so no need to edit Post Load settings... Another way is to save a subset, since we're not making a Product, Character preset is not really necessary.

    Thanks for this, but that does not explain why I don't have this problem with any other model I use. I use G8.1 all the time and slap a G8 skin on them and it never caused this issue. I have also used the Mina model before without this issue. I will check the settings though!

    Yeah, forgot to mention it, just cuz Mina's character preset is not really correct. The hierarchical base material preset are put in the Post Load settings, to eyelashes, tears and eyebrows. It will definitely change the skin material when loading Character Preset.

    You may check 8.1 base female character preset, Post Load settings are correct. Then check Eden's settings, individual material presets are there for wearables other than full base material... so no impact to the skin.

    But if you replace eyebrows for the figure, you still have to change Post Load settings...
