Can you switch a figure for another figure in a saved animation in DS?

I"m curious because I'm trying to set up an easy way to do seam tests. I have an animation for testing 1 figure & was wondering can figure B be switched out for figure A to make it easier to do this? I know it can or could be done in Poser but I can't remember if so in DS.

Different base figure (Genesis version) or different character using the same base figure?
different base figure. I was gonna switch G9 for G8 but I know poses will need fixed
Actually will be staying pretty much default pose & just rotated as needed.
So what are you wanting to transfer?
I'm not sure if transfer is the right word. Can the G9 be imported into the animation in the place & such that G8 is in? Will it need fulled repositioned or can I do it in a way to just need slight tweaks for fixing it.
I assume you're probably using this:

I don't think you'd be able to just swap out one figure for the other. The G8 gets posed to line up the view with the seams, as well being rotated around.
they have different bone hierarchies so even saving the animated pose will not work unless you use some sort of conversion utility
free or paid
I may have something :) Thanks & yep .I'm just needing it for me so mine isn't as smooth as her's would be lol.I didn't swap out. I ended up loading G9 & parenting to G8 then gonna hide G8 for my use.Crossing fingers here.
Actually what I needed this for dosen't require posing just a lot of rotating lol-maybe beent arms/legs & spread fingers lol.Nothing major:)
