Genesis 9 Best Practices?

Is there a best practice for converting over figures from previous generations for better results? For example - split the head and body morphs, females without breast morphs, etc.

I recently split off the head from a character's FBM using this. It was bit fiddly but it worked well after reading the instructions. You can also use it for separating other body parts and much more. A very useful script IMO.
I personally made a full character morph with body + head of my G8/8.1 characters :) I only used morphs that doesn't exist for G9 (mainly Genesis 8 original characters) and I created a controller enabling the character morph + other morphs (HD morphs, proportional height, growing up, etc...).
To convert textures, I used Ultimate Unwrap 3D that has a excellent and simple tutorial for converting G8 -> G9 textures :)
The biggest issue I had was the eyes since they are completely different. First, I unlinked the eyes from the character so I could move and scale independately of the character skeleton. I put at the same location my old G8 character and hide everything excepted the eyes. I aligned G9 eyes at the same location and size as G8 ones. I exported G9 eyes to OBJ and deleted them. I aligned eyes bones of the character on the old eyes, especially the center. Finally, I readded default G9 eyes and created a morph wih my OBJ with the same name as the character morph.
I also had to fix the bones of eyelids because the blink pose controls were wrong with my characters :)

There are no "best practices' yet for getting morphs from previous generations over to G9, just other users tries and hit or miss results from what I have read. No actual converters have been released yet. For splitting morphs there is this product that works on genesis 2, 3 and 8. https://www.daz3d.com/shape-splitter
Sorry sonnyjei, I didn't notice the question was specifically G9 related... old eyes. I'm pretty sure Shape Splitter won't work with G9 and there's no equivilant tool for that generation.
