Twizted Makeup G9 Removal Tool not working

Hey everyone, as the title suggests. I am using the Twizted Makeup LIE eyeliner and I am using the removal tool but the eyeliner isn't removing from my figure. I have made a lot of edits to the skin map, so reloading the base skin to reset everything isn't my idea of a good time. Anyone help or know how to remove the makeup manually?

It's hard to know without more details. Is the removal tool a script? If so, does it come with instructions? Where you selecting your character before applying the removal tool?
