Genesis 8F duplicate formula errors?

Despite fining many complaints I have not yet found a solution.

Any time I load G8F basic into an empty scent it takes forever to load then says there were duplicate formulas found.

When I look at the log file it makes no sense at all because it is refering to things related to male genitals!

I looked at the code in the .duf file and found nothing at all related to this.

I would seem that the DS 4.21 ( and earlier too ) is trying to automaticaly load totally irrelevant morphs along with the G8F figure. How else explain the log file showing errors related to make genital morphs on a female charactorr that is the original, untouched G8F in a totally blank new scene?

How can I repair this then resave that charactor as a "fixed" G8F asset?

This is very annoying that after what seems years of complaints no one at DS either cares or has any interest in correcting said error.

This is a snippet of log.  I deleted the log and loaded G8F so would have a clean log. You can clearly see DS trying to load G8M morphs.

You have installed some morph by MediAsylum or a morph that calls a morph by them.

This is a very confusing post - you seem to be complaining about duplicate formulas and then post a snippet that does not contain any duplicate forumla errors.

What you have posted about can also be explained by a poorly coded asset/product, or one that does this on purpose, not necessarily DazStudio at fault. I don't have that product but I am aware of the existence of products that allow you to attach male genitals to female figures.

Those are "Bad Parent" errors, you have what appears to be G8M morphs installed in G8F's Morphs folder, now either the content maker made a mess of packaging them, or you made a mess installing them.

G8F base, G8F character, subset or scene, doesn't matter which DUF you load as DS will head to "data/Daz 3D/Genesis 8/Female" and read, process and load every single DSF file in there as well as in all of the sub folders.

We would need to see the log to know what product is creating the DF errors, but generally speaking if it's only a couple then it's usually a badly done corrective, however if it's several hundred then you have two products installed that use the same internal asset IDs.

In either case the product(s) need redone by the content maker, all you can do is uninstall the product generating the errors, and the complain loudly to who ever it was that made it.

You did not accuratly read my post with regards to the snippit.

It was posted with the exlanation that the log shows DS trying to load G8 male genital morpths to the stock DS G8 Female charactor.

I am assuming is it is a poorly coded asset provided by DS since it is their asset and it is the ONLY asset being loaded into a blank scene. If there is no doubt this is a bad asset the question asked by many is "how to fix it"

This seems to be a common problem for nearly everyone using G8F given the number of posts but so far not one post has resulted in a solution.

I read it and given the subject of the post I expected a snippet showing duplicate forumla errors, yet there was none. Instead you are talking about a morph issue that is missing it's parent which is a completely different issue.

Which has nothing to to with duplicate formulas - which is the subject of your post.

You need to specify the name/URL of the product providing thoise morphs if you want help from forum members as there isn't enough info to go on. Alternatively, you should report the product via Daz support ticket.

Not at all. First I have heard about any posts referencing male genitalia on G8Fs. Perhaps we are looking at different forums?

No, it's something you have loaded and installed from sources outside DAZ store. 

Even when you load the stock G8 female character, DS reads every morph and character you have installed for G8 females, creates dials for those morphs and makes the connections between different dials - This is how the system works.

In your case, with the DS closed, I would be looking at "...\Data\DAZ 3D\Genesis 8\Female\Morphs\" for a folder named "MediAsylum", move it out of your content library and check if the problem was fixed.
