Autofit Issues

Hi all. I am having issues using autofit to get "Alternate Identity for Genesis 2 Male" (http://www.daz3d.com/alternate-identity-for-genesis-2-male-s) to fit The Genesis model in Daz Studio 4.8. After adding wardrobe to the character I do not get "Genesis 2" (the options are Mike, Vicki, etc.) or as an option to choose what the wardrobe was made for. I do not have Genesis (1, 2 or 3) as an option to "fit" the wardrobe to. I have tried the 'expand all' option within the wardrobe with no success. Any help resolving this issue is greatly appreciated. Thank you, in advance.
For convenience I have attached a pic that includes hot the wardrobe is fitting on the default model vs Genesis 2.

OK what figure are you fitting this to. It only works on G2M. It does not work on the original Genesis. What do you mean "default model"?
By default Genesis can not wear Genesis 2 stuff. There was a tool (i THINK) you could buy for that...I think...I never did though.
The options that pop up when you autofit are the included clones...if you don't have an option for a figure, that means you don't have a clone for that figure.
By "default model" I mean the 3D character that autoloads when I open Daz Studio 4.8. Yes, by default Genesis cannot wear Genesis 2 stuff. But that's where the autofit comes in. By default Genesis cannot wear Vicki stuff but, using autofit, I am able to fit Genesis male models with Vicki clothing.
No, not exactly. Read what mjc1016 said. By default, I mean for free, what is included in the software.
The free autofit tool works for the generation prior, and if you want more you have to buy it basically. If you want an older figure to wear newer clothes, i THINK there is a tool for that, but I never used it. It would be something you would buy.
Genesis can not wear Genesis 2 stuff. Genesis can by default autofit Generation 4 stuff. Such as V4 and M4. Remember Genesis is Generation 5. So V4/M4 are older by 1 generation.
Genesis 2 can autofit Genesis stuff, but not automatically fit V4/M4 unless you buy some tool.
Genesis 3 can autofit Genesis 2 stuff. But not Genesis 1 or V4/M4 unless you buy some tool.
Thank you for the heads-up on the clone. I did a search and was able to find some information on clones. It appears as though one option might be adding clones to my install to increase capability. One production I found was the "Wear them All Autofitting Clones and Smoothers for Genesis 3". (http://www.daz3d.com/wear-them-all-autofitting-clones-and-clothing-smoothers-for-genesis-3-female-s). Guess I'll also see what 'support has to say re issue before I buy anything.. I will pst any information I find that helps resolve the issue or expands the topic.
That is for Genesis 3 females only. It won't do anything for Genesis 1. I wouldn't buy it for your situation.
BTW Leslie, did you happen to read my post that explained how this all worked?
My next step will be to try to make a clone myself. I found two links to information about making clones. It appears as though, while the 'characters' may be different that the process would be the same.
Link One (Clones for Dawn, Dusk, and also Luna)

Link Two (Make a V4 Clone for Dawn (A tutorial by 3dOutlaw) << This opens a PDF

I have been working on resolving the issue and will have more feedback soon. Meanwhile, I have more inforation that might be useful. One, "making" clones does not appear all that hard. It appears as simple as "Save As" with two figures selected.
HOWEVER, it does appear that one needs to know where to save the clone. I've noticed that different figures have different clone options when you fit clothes It appears as if each figure has it's own "clone" folder and, whatever clone settings reside in that folder will be drop down options in the menu.
I created a clone but that did not resolve my issue. I need to figure out, for the 'actor' I'm using, what/where their folder is and take it from there. I'll give an update and, if anyone is able to duplicate what I'm doing, share your esperiences.
To fit Genesis 2 items to Genesis you need http://www.daz3d.com/genesis-2-female-clone-for-genesis and/or http://www.daz3d.com/genesis-2-male-clone-for-genesis
Mustakettu85 has a tutorial on making a clone...
https://mustakettu85.wordpress.com/2015/06/25/using-g2f-and-g2m-clothing-on-original-genesis/
Specifically the G2 to Genesis and where to save it.
Thank you Fixmypcmike and mjc1016 for the continued directions towards a solution. Mustakettu85's tutorial seems to be the most concise I've seen and appears to be a oltuion. I should be able to run through it tomorrow and will update the post witih my progress.
Well, it seems as if I'm a nickel short, so to speak, of successfully creating a clone. That is, if I don't count the hours spent searching, reading, posting, and trying to create clones. When I follow directions I've found online it seems as though there is one incongruency that makes it difficult for me. For example; the last 'tutorial' I followed spoke Daz 3D up until they mentioned loading a Poser OBJ file to use as a mesh (?) to create the final cone that will then cause autofit options to include the clone that was created.
I think my next option will be to try out the pulgin, quoted above, that Fixmypcmike suggests. All it is, at approx $10, is an installation of a 'clone' that's been pre-created instead of relying on making a clone oneself. More, and hopefull final, update coming soon.
Update: I went back to the Using G2F and G2M clothing on original Genesis" tutorial. It's a good one but I am stuck on #9
#9
Hide the G2 figure in the Scene tab, select the Genesis-shaped bodysuit and export it as an OBJ (see steps 2 and 3, but name it something like Genesis_G2F).
Any help getting beyond this point? I can morph the GM/G2M but am still just shy of exporting the above mentioned. For convenience, I've attached an updated pic to this post. It features different morphed characters.
