Urban Future 7

Hi,
I am a new DS user and I have a couple questions, some regarding the Urban Future 7 set by Stonemason.
One – I cannot seem to change the render size/dimensions when rendering from the main viewport. At least not while using the cameras provided. Is there a way to unlock the render size while making use of the stonemason cameras?
Two – I attempted to render a scene with the set with default resolution and camera settings, but after twelve hours, it was only 6% rendered. Is there a way to speed things up? My system has 16GB RAM, 64bit OS with an Intel Core processor 2.9 GHz. The graphics card is standard, so would a newer one help speed things along?
Thanks!

Each of the cameras has "Use local dimensions" enabled, under the camera settings, which overrides the render(tab) settings.
If you want to change the render size, you either need to turn that off, or change the size in what ever camera you intend to use.
As for rendering, unless you have an Nvidia gpu, Maxwell series or later, you'll be limited to cpu rendering, which will be painfully slow.
You could try simplifying the material(surfaces tab) settings, by removing maps, such as bump and normal, turning off or down other settings, such as reflectivity and turning off emissives, as well as not enabling render settings, such as the bloom filter.
There's a lot you can try, but it's still going to take a lot longer on cpu than with gpu.
A newer, Nvidia only no AMD, gpu would speed up the process, as long as the scene fits in vram.
I would suggest a system ram upgrade as well, since 16GB is fairly low for 3d work.
