Fit conforming item to dynamic item

Not sure where I saw it, but pretty sure I remember seeing it was possible.
If so, how is it done?
Edit:
I think the purpose was to get some of the look in the conforming item that the dynamic has.

I think your meant to drape an optitex dynamic item on your figure, making sure it only collides with the figure and not any conformers you have fitted to the figure, then once draped apply a smoothing modifier to the conformer, but set the collision of the smoothing modifier to only collide with the dynamic item and not the figure.
I know how to use it; somewhere, I saw someone fit - or whatever they did - a conforming item to a dynamic item after it had been draped, so it took on some of the natural (believable) shape. I just can't find where it was.
