Please help me use the DAZ search / filter system

I would like to search the store for Genesis 8 and 8.1 females, but I am finding it challenging. 
If I use the blue bar at the top and search People / Genesis 8 / Female I get figures plus clothing, hair and accessories
If I use the filters on the left / Categories and choose Genesis 8 and female I get figures plus clothing, hair and accessories
If I use the filters on the left / Figures and choose Genesis 8 female I get figures plus clothing, hair and accessories
If I use the filters on the left / Categories and choose Clothing and Accessorries I get no figures, just clothing and accessories
How do I search for just figures?  How do I search for just props?  How do I search for just environments? 
I did try searching the forum to see if someone else asked this, but Search and Filter are in many posts that are not related to my question.

Edited: In retrospect, my post was unnecessarily harsh, so I've deleted what I wrote. The search in particular could certainly use some improvement here, though.

I did notice that product categories were added to the filters, not sure when that happened but it is a welcome development. Makes it a little easier to filter by specific things like hair, from what I can tell.
