alpha channel

how can i get alpha channel in .avi videos?
When I render in RENDER TYPE: MOVIE mode the background is not transparent but completely black.

Obviously the character on which to make the video is alone and everything else has been turned off (not visible).
Is there any option to have complete transparency behind the character?
Thank you

Render to a png series with transparency - i.e. dome invisible.

Then use davinci resolve (free) or premier pro to create an .avi from the png sequence.

One Advantage: if Daz studio crashes mid-render sequence you don't have to start over from scratch. Just change the render range to finish up.

    render as image series.gif
    1920 x 1032 - 943K

Thanks Granville, I used your suggestion with VSDC, a free software, which I highly recommend because it's really great.
But I wonder if it is possible to obtain the same result already directly from DAZ in movie mode.

No, but rendering to an image sequence rather than diect to an .avi has many benefits.
