BelBel for Genesis 2/Aiko 6?

Is there any interest at all at making/porting BelBel for the Gen2 female or Aiko 6? I've been on a constant search for a good anime styled figure for Daz, and it's driving me nuts that there was one right under my nose, but she's so out of date she can't work with any of my Gen2 poses/clothes/morphs, and we've gone through like 3 different generations of Aikos yet nobody ever ported BelBel over, content with keeping the bug eyed Bratz doll "anime" style of Aikos 4-6. (no offense to the fans of the Aiko series, I've just never considered them "anime" figures.)

She's perfect and what I've been looking for but ridiculosuly too out of date for any usability. Is there any way of getting her ported over for Gen2/Aiko 6?

If it's the shape you are after, then creating the figure with all the morphs available for G2F should be reasonably straightforward if you are experienced in that; Zev0 releases his morph pack this week for G3F, and coupled with the face morphs already available for G3F, it is likely possible to get the shape there too; G2F textures, that would depend if there was a preexisting one you could use, or if the exising one could be used converted.

I don't know of any available for G3F. But I am hoping/expecting that there will be an asian character, texture set soon.

Wow, never ever seen this character on my travels: http://www.daz3d.com/belbel

BelBel won't be so easy on G3F until more toons come out that can be leveraged. On G2F there are tons of toons and toon face morph kits available that would help. Might need to make some custom corrective morphs to keep expressions working correctly. That super small mouth could cause some quirks.

And you don't need much in the way of textures. You can even use solid colors for most of the body if you wanted.

And as I've said before, Anime is just Animation. Though most of the time Daz figures are used for Stills :) Thinking about it I think this same exact comment was already made, maybe by the same poster.

Not sure why the old figure is out of date or useless if she looks the way you need. BelBel got pretty good support so there should be a good amount of stuff for her around the internet.

  • BelBel is a PA product and I don't even know if Yamato is still around. Haven't seen anything new by him for ages. So basically no one else can reproduce this morph for sale.

You can try to port the morph over to Genesis. Here's a tut by Katty on how to do this. It's for Generation4 morphs to Genesis but A3 to Genesis 2 works similar.

    Belbel isn't a morph, it's a custom head on A3's body.

Ooops, you're right. Tells you how long I haven't been looking at any of the A3 dollies.

  • I have made a BelBel for Genesis 2.  See http://fav.me/dag5kvj for details.
I wonder how can I made it officially available at DAZ 3D.
