Can anyone direct me to a light set-up (for sale or free) that completely rim lights the hair of a hair of a figure? Or suggest a set with a diagram? Photos below from Photographer Sean Tucker and mindchatter Pages.Cheers

    Setting a rim light for the hair is pretty easy but the 'transmission effect / glowing rim' mostly depend on the hair. Most of Daz hair products have no or enough 'fine hair', or the fine hair is too thick / not messy enough, etc.

    The more fine / messy hair you have, the more effect you get. Here're two sample pics, I just put a spot light with high lumen right behind the head. Tweaked some surface parameters of the hairs, esp. the SSS related params while only adjusting glossiness etc. would not help... If you use HDR, you can almost do the same settings.
