Start up error on Win XP

I downloaded and installed Bryce 7.1 and every time I try to start it, I get an error message that says:

This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem

I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice now, but still get the error.

Anybody have any ideas?
