Changing a black shader to white?

Hiya all, brand new user trying to learn DAZ Studio here, so sorry for incorrect forum placement, lack of knowledge, etc.
I'm essentially trying to make a open white leather jacket on a model (Genesis 8) using a jacket I purchased... it doesn't have color shaders unfortunately (and in fact I can't find anything even close that DOES have a white shader...) so I was attempting to see if I could edit it somehow to make the current shaders white without completely retexturing it and losing the original texture's definition (stitching, etc.). Is that a thing that can be done? Thanks in advance.

I did try using an alternate leather shader but as I mentioned that causes some of the stitching/details on the original texture to be lost, unfortunately. Was just trying to see if there was a way to avoid that.
You could create a geoshell, and then apply the stiching to that.
That requires that you have a black-white image for which parts of the geoshell that shal be visible.
