Is there a way to pull just a characters single limb into pose?

What I mean by this is for example can when you drag pull a characters left hand down by using mouse their entire upper body will bend to the side along with it as you move her hand down. Could you restrict it to be able to pose drag just the hand only or just the arm only with it so that the rest of the body will not react to what you are doing? Thanks.

You may use a pin on the upper bone, for instance, select figure's Chest Upper node, press Spacebar and then drag the hand... If you use ActivePose Tool (Alt Shift + P), it'll be the same opration...

Sorry is there anyway you could demonstrate with screenshots? I don't really get it.

    I removed the duplicates.

Don't forget that in that particular case there are morphs on the chest, mainly the breast, triggerd by the raised arm - those are not directly the result of the chest bone moving, they are linked, so pinning the chest won't stop movement.

Yes~ it depends.. So sometimes I pin the collars or avoid 'dragging' while just dialing..
