Studio creating icons in product folders when loaded.
This is a bit of an odd one, but Studio is creating QT (I think) icons in my library if I force Studio to start by double clicking an associated product file. I doubt many of you do this but we have an indexer which allows us to instantly look up anything in the our library by name so, for example, if we want to find a brush it shows us all brushes in any product. Because it keeps an index, the results are instant rather than the laborious disk grinding of the built-in search.
It's not only the indexer - if I launch studio by double clicking an associated file in Windows Explorer the same icons get created in the folder that Studio was started from.
It isn't a particularly big deal but I don't think Studio should be creating icons on the drive just because it's been opened from a file which is associated to Studio. I don't remember this behaviour from earlier versions - currently on 4.21.0.5 General Release.

I've never seen such icons though I rarely double-click to open an duf asset... I tested opening this asset in the way as you did with 4.21, found no icon created in the folder. So it's weird on your side...
OK. Thanks for having a look. You must be right that it's some oddity on this machine.
can you drag and drop the items into D|S instead of clicking on them?
I do this all the time Using Voidtools Everything and don't get icons
