Can't find GenX and GenX2 in DS4.8Pro

I bought GenX and GenX2 during the sale recently and the .exe files are old and I have no idea where they installed. I can't find any readme or docurmentation on how to use them, and I'm now not sure if they even work in DS4.8Pro since I noticed during the install they wanted to go to DazStudio 4.5. Did I make a mistake buying these? I don't care if Daz says these sale items aren't returnable, if they don't work for DS4.8Pro, then I'm going to have to return them.
One page I found at Daz said the files are in 'Application Data', but I don't have that named file in Win8.1. I have 'AppData' but there are no Daz plugin files there.
Can anyone help me figure this out? Thanks.

As far as I know it works fine in 4.8.
My PC is out of commission at the moment so I can't check and verify at the moment, plus I've not yet taken the time to effectively use it. However you might want to check the DAZ Studio application's documentation folder for that plugin to see if it has some. (To get to the DS folder if you don't know where it is: right-click your desktop shortcut > properties > find target button. From there, click the Docs folder, then the Plugins folder. I see one on my system called "Genesis Generation X", although it's empty at the moment, I assume because it's temporarily not installed.)
Here's a tutorial I have not yet tried to follow: https://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/?thread_id=2851334
Here's a forum thread that might be of help: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/viewthread/11751/
Do not install both GenX and GenX2 -- the GenX download is only for older versions that don't support GenX2.
ETA: The user manual for GenX is here: http://docs.daz3d.com/lib/exe/fetch.php/public/read_me/index/13516/13516_genesis-generation-x.pdf
It's also installed in the “/docs/plugins/GenX/” subfolder of the Daz Studio appliction folder.
Oh, thx, I didn't know that! I will have to figure out where the genx went when it installed since I can't find it. I did finally find the genx2 in my DS folder as 'd3dGenX2.dll'. But I can't find the genx dll file even though I installed it. The installers are so old that you can't control where they go like you can newer ones or I'd have put it in a dummy folder first to see where it was going.
Ok, well, good to know, and thanks also for the link to the pdf. With no obvious way (for me anyway) to find a readme in Daz files anymore, it's so confusing.
