How to change/tweak thumbnail icon?

When I save a scene or a set, I get the currently rendered image as a thumbnail icon. It is nice, but it happens to be naked people. This is technically correct, but I'd like instead to have a thumbnail without textures or neutered in some way (like it happens on most purchased store items). How do I tweak the thumbnail?

Also, I saved some scene in the past which I don't need anymore, so I deleted them from disk. The smart content pane still try to show them with a "!". How do I remove it?

Thanks!

Create the thumbnail you'd like and replace the automatically-generated one.

Go to the Content Library pane, navigate to the category containing the orphaned icon, right-click and choose "Remove orphaned reference(s)".

  • 1) So I have to tweak the scene as I like, then do a square rendering, then browsing to the location of the .duf, rename the thumbnail of my rendering and overwrite the old thumbnail. Of course, if I happen to save the scene again I have to keep the thumbnail handy otherwise it will be overwritten.

    2) The orphaned item was uncategorized and I can't find it on the Content Library. :(

    Thanks!

Does it show in Content Library > Categories > Default > Unassigned?

  • Now they are gone, but I have no idea on why that happened (closed and reopened DAZ at least 10 times since I deleted them). Thank you anyway! :)
