I select camera a lot.
Can a camera be put on toolbar?
So I don't always have to search the scene panel for the camera?

Sure ~ as usual, first create a Custom Action for the Camera (Preset), then press F3, drag the Action from Custom to the designated Toolbar group~
by using camera preset, the location of the camera becomes always the same right?
I just need to select it.
It could be the preset you saved or a preset comes from a product no matter where they locate. But after you create the custom action and toolbar item for it, don't change the location of the camera preset, o rename, move, delete, etc. otherwise you have to update the path of action or recreate it... Pls follow the screenshots as attached~
I already understand how to put someting on the toolbar. That's not the problem.
The problem is : I just want to select the camera node on scene panel. Without have to search it all the time.
If I saved a preset of my camera.
Put it on the toolbar.
Then I move around the camera to get a shot
Then if I click the preset, what will happen is, my current camera will move back to where I save the preset.
That's not what I want to achieve.
Okay~ if in this case, you hold Ctrl key before click the toolbar icon (or dbl-click a Camera preset), a digalog box will pop up. You can select Replace or Add...
'Replace All' is the default, so your current Camera view will be replaced with the preset. If you select 'Add', the Camera in preset will be only loaded into the scene.
PS: Another way is to use MF Content Bookmarks: https://www.daz3d.com/mf-content-bookmarks. You can bookmark the frequently-used folders to the menu list. That'll be pretty quick without searching again and again..
If you want to select the camera node that is currently being used to view the scene then I do have a script for that in my selection tools pack https://www.dropbox.com/s/z6ceaiasl8ll5u6/RHSelectionTools.zip?dl=0
Yep, this is what I meant.
Thank you.
Sorry I misunderstood...you meant selecting a camera in the Scene pane... but why do you have to 'always search a camera' ? You usually use lots of cameras and throw them to very lower level groups or sth. ?
Anyway, Richard's tools pack will help a lot!
Because there are a lot of objects. characters, props, etc.
I have one camera burried between them.
Everytime I have to filter (search) / scroll.
Fair enough, it's up to one's preference... but still you could well organize the scene nodes by using Group, null, parenting, etc...
