Should I purchase 4070 or 4070Ti for daz3d?

Hi there, Currently I'm torned between 4070 and 4070 ti. And I can't decide which to buy, since I definitely don't have a money tree in my graden I'd like to grab that cheaper option 4070 and call it a day then again if the 4070Ti provides significant performance boost then I'll regret that decision. Is there anyone here who has experience with 4000series GPUS?

I'm guessing(Just entirely guessing) that a 4070 will be somewhat faster than my old 3070 and I'd be able to render a scene containing 3-4 Genesis 8 models with a medium environment under 20 minutes. And that's perfect for me.

But if the 4070ti can do the same job under 13 minutes or so then I will definitely buy the ti version.

Thanks in advance.

Don't have to be torned... comparing to 4070, Ti with more 1800 CUDA Cores etc. will certainly bring you performance boost in terms of rendering speed, but it could never be 'significant'.... Ti will consume more power and may have bigger size, BTW...

Then using a benchmark by testing, comparing to 3070, 4090 will appr. double the speed in terms of rendering time, with 16384 CUDA cores. 4070 Ti has 7680 CUDA cores, so you may roughly calculate :  time saving will be around 23%.. while 4070 will be around 18%.
Therefore, if it takes 20 Mins to render the typical scene you just mentioned with your 3070, it will appr. take 15.4 Mins with 4070 Ti, and 16.4 Mins with 4070.

Then it's up to you to make the decision... I suppose $200 might be equal to the spending for 3 - 4 dinners? If it's not a big deal for you, go for Ti..  On the contrary, if you don't care about that +-5% gap of time-saving and wanna spend $200 on more valuable things, just go for non-Ti...

    IMO! blush

When the GPU has enough VRAM (the 3070 doesn't), although the more expensive ones are faster to render an image, the time it takes is more about what one has in the scene and how is it lighted.

This was rendered in 5 minutes and 5 seconds on the cheapest RTX 3060 12GB...

Wait and see what NVIDIA does with the RTX 4060 series.  They may come out with a 16GM model:

Getting a 15% to 18% speed boost compared to 3070 is satisfying enough for me. I believe I got my answer. Like I barely predicted Nvidia will never give a significant speed boost to a ti version. Especially not in this generation. I'll go with the less expensive 4070 non-ti Asus dual.

Thank you for taking the time to read my question everyone.
