Resource error message

Hey guys. I installed Daz3D a few weeks ago on my PC, and unfortunately I'm not able to access Daz's functionality because of a resource error. I installed my Daz3D on a Seagate Expansion 2TB external HD, and I'm also unable to log in within the software, as it is giving an unknown error. Yes, I have PostgreSQL installed and all the other functionality installed by the Install Manager (DIM) and also my Malwarebytes antivirus is configured not to mess with Daz3D and its resources. Could someone help me to solve this problem please? I'm a hobbyist 3D artist new to Daz and this issue is preventing me from accessing the software's creation features!

First open DIM to check the 'database icon' in the upper right corner, see if it's white.. If it's grey, click it (White : cms service started, Grey: cms service stopped).

Then in DS ,press F2, go to CMS Settings tab, check the configuration...

If you can't log in to daz (which you need do only for installing cotnent through DS) and can't communicate with PostgreSQL (which uses Internet Protocol, though only within the local machine) then the obvious suspect would be the firewall or other security software.

You can, however, use Daz Studio - the content, if it installed correctly, will be accessible through the Content Library pane under Daz Studio Formats (or Poser Formats, depending on type) then the name of the Content Directory.

Okay, I'll try to perform this procedure and see if I can make it work and I'll post here again if it works. I'm having trouble accessing the Genesis models and apparently this error could be the prime suspect.

The postgreSQL cms error message you mentioned just gives you no enablement of using Smart Content but you're still able to access any resource you installed in Content Library (pane). Anyway, pls try to fix the cms connection problem first as suggested...

My Malwarebytes Premium is configured to not interfere with any Daz services or files, so I don't think that's the problem. I don't have access to my personal computer because I'm at work, but when I get back home I'm going to try to realize the procedures that crosswind said.

Wow that's weird. I was thinking that this error was interfering with Genesis models, because when I opened my Daz Studio I cannot found any Genesis content, despite the DIM saying it is installed (all available DIM content was installed by me). Sorry, am I doing something wrong?

If you navigate in Content Library to DAZ Studio Formats -> [Name of your content library] -> People -> Genesis 8 Female -> Characters, you will find all your Genesis 8 Female characters there.

The 'Smart' Content is driven by the database, as are the Products and Categories in Content library and without working database, you are probably not going to find your content in those locations.

So I'm going to have to solve this connection problem with the CMS anyway. I'll check my Windows Firewall and see if there's nothing blocking it too, but I think it must be something else.

I was able to partially solve my problem by following the steps described in this Daz help link: https://bugs.daz3d.com/hc/en-us/articles/207812393-PostgreSQL-Connection-Error-and-No-Smart-Content it worked partially because even if I uninstalled and installed PostgreSQL through DIM and restarted the CMS connection, the error still persists but now all the Daz contents that disappeared reappeared, including Genesis 8 models, accessories, hair, clothing and etc.
