I'm curious if the Visual Style Shaders http://www.daz3d.com/visual-style-shaders works with Genesis 3 figures?
If it is then also...
I'm presuming that I would use 3Delight to render, am I correct about that too?

Yes, 3Delight. I don't know if it is scripted or not, but this is 3Delight. Only products of this year can be Iray.
TY
Do you know if the shaders works with G3F?
I don't see why not, they are just shaders. Not textures. They aren't character specific and can be applied to environments and things. If want to preserve textures there is a way to do that too.
I keep textures by holding down ctrl, is that what you mean?
Sadly no. You need a script. However the script I have is pre Genesis 2, and I am not sure it works on Genesis 2/3. (its a dsa file and not a duf). Not even sure that matters, but I think it does...
The way the visual style shaders work, unless something changed, ctrl clicking isn't enough to keep the textures.
And if I recall correctly, we can't share the script as it has some info about the shaders and it's not allowed. So we had to follow a guide in the thread and craft the special script/preset thingie by hand. You can fix the textures manually, but it's a chore.
Ahh well, I've moved it to wishlist; I'll invesigate it when I can return it if I don't like it.
Cheers for info.
Yea, the CTRL-Click should work fine, afaik. Here is a pic where you can see I did that with the lace fringe of the dress to maintain the transparency mats. :)
...and the How To script is in the guide found on the first page of this thread: LINK
So maybe I am wrong, and it just works for transparency, or only partially works.
