Converting Genesis material presets to G2F?

I can't use most of my genesis material presets on G2F. A quick web search suggests this is because they're in the old dsf (I think that's it) format, and G2F requires the duf format. Is there any way to convert them to the proper format? I know I can load up Genesis and then save the combo as a MAT, but this is far from optimal. I'd prefer to be able to just have the sets in my library as they came "in the box," and available for G2F. Instead of having to do all the mixing and matching of makeup, lip color, eye color, etc., on Genesis first and then saving a preset, which will never be as versatile as having the sets available for G2F as they came "in the box."

i think someone sold a product to do it for you.

OK so it says V...so not completelly sure why it wouldn't work with Genesis. The concept is the same. I don't own this..So I can't answer that question...

Based on this description, i would think it would work...

With this script written for DAZ Studio 4, you can select one folder, and the script will convert all of the .DS, .DSA or .PZ2 files, that are Material Presets, in that folder and it's subfolders to Material Presets that will work seamlessly with Genesis 2. Or you can select which ones you want to convert. Or both..... Then you just press the Process button and let the script do the rest.

Mmm, I dunno. I hope you're right, but need to verify. You'd think they'd mention it works in the other direction, if it really does. ETA: but you're right, if it just converts from the old formats to the new, then you'd think it would work. The bit that worries me is the G to G2F thing, since I assume there are some differences between the two figures' material groups (or whatever) that are translated along the way. Kinda figure there'd have to be, since there's got to be some reason the old formats don't work on G2F in the first place (at least, I'd hope it is a good technical reason, and not simple fiat).

G2F uses a feature called Surface Sets.  The actual surface names are different than the 4th Generation/5th Generation surface names, but there is an added surface set with the old names.  This feature only works on .duf files.  The .duf files that result will work on both the 4th/5th Generation figures and the 6th Generation figures.  I'm not sure if that's what you mean by "works in the other direction".
