v4 skirt morph problem when fit to G8F

There is an old product EaraneOutfit which is old but pretty, product ID is 5661, it has a V4ESkirt which is a .cr2 file.

As shown in attached pictures, it can be used on V4.2, no problem, the skirt keeps its own bones so that it can be adjusted by the 'other' slidder. But when applied to G8F, the skirt changes to the G8F bones, the consequence is, all its own morphs such like SFBendAll don't work anymore, so the skirt is no use for G8F under whatever poses.

Any idea to let the skirt keep its own bones when fit to G8F so that its own morphs can be used? The product 'RSSY Clothing Converter from Victoria 4 to Genesis 8 Female' has no use since it gets the same result as the DAZ default fit, bones changed.

If you use the RSSY converter then you should mark the skirt as a loin cloth. The V4 bones will still be discarded but it will add new bones which are not the same but will give you some basic control.

Personally on items like this, plus almost any dress or skirt, I find that any bones don't really help that much. Pretty much any pose other than stood up straight will look fairly bad. The best option is to make the item dForce  so that is can be simulated to give a proper drape. On the Earane outfit it can be made dForce, as you can see in the images I posted below, but there is some work to do to avoid it falling apart. I created a new surface at the top of the skirt section and made that non-dynamic, but you can also achieve this with a custom weight map.

The only way of reserving bones is to use Transfer Rigging without Auto-fit... I roughly showed the steps as attached... but still had to make a fixing morph for G8F in Blender...
Based on the converted skirt, dForce modifier could be further added as you wish.

    Thanks both of you!

@crosswind , very good knowledge, I never tried those rigging options, like a magic. Followed your idea, it works well as it is on a V4.2 figure. I saved your toturial pictures. Thanks.

@Havos , yes, you are right, even the rigging works, for most poses it still looks weird, dForce seems the only solution. But dForce is really a time consuming job, I simulated 50 times, still not ideal. The good thing is, it works now, thanks.
