Kharma's post did remind me to cancel my daz+ membership in time and wont be renewing.
Well at least I don't have to worry about my subscrition renewing without my knowledge in 3 months as Daz CS flagged it themselves to not renew. I went into my account to assure it would cancel at the end of my 3 month subscription as well as uncheck the recurring box and saw that Daz CS has flagged it for cancellation at the end of the 3 month period and there is no longer a recurring box to check or the box to choose annual or quarterly and add your credit card, just a statement "Want to resubscibe? Add a new subscrition to your cart and check out!" I tried to add a screen shot but it won't let me, must be an issue with posting right now.
Can anyone confirm where in Paypal you turn off the pre-authorization for Daz+ membership? I'm having trouble finding it and as I recall you have to turn off both.
Login to Paypal
Click the gear icon in upper right of page
Click Payments and then scroll down to automatic patments.
Thank you, was driving me crazy trying to find it.
I asked a 'recurring button' question last January in a Help Center request. I found my notes and want to share what was advised to me. It may not necessarily add much to what's already been said here, but there are a couple of issues that confuse me in it. I won't quote anything directly because they don't want us doing that.
I was told that if I cancel the subscription days or weeks before the end, it would only cancel the upcoming renewal, and still allow me the Daz+ benefits until the current subscription period ends.
That answer was a bit off from my question about the recurring button, but it was clear.
So to be even safer, I wonder if I can cancel it immediately after I sign up for it, a year before it ends? Would that have the same effect? Or would it actually cancel it?... with no money back. It's a very strange (dangerous?) system!
Thanks to this thread, I also noticed a statement that was made by the Help Desk person in a second response to my questions:
He warned that if I uncheck anything, it won't end the subscriptions [he used the plural], unless I first select the subscription that I'm referring to, under "Current Status." And then I should click the cancel subscription button, instead of unchecking the recurring box.
I remember now - that's what confused me. What's the recurring box for, if this is what we're advised to do, instead??
Is it possible that someone at Daz could write up a clearly-written guide for us? We're not lawyers, and these feel like the slippery sort of rules that lawyers write.

One other point the Help Desk fellow advised me to do, was to take a screenshot when I cancel my subscription so that if there's a problem I'll have that as proof.
I think it'd be wise to get screenshots of any customer dealings that don't result in a receipt.
I do want to say, those are really good people at the Help Desk, and their job is not an easy one. They're not responsible for the system, they're just there to help us deal with it.
