Daz3D Server Problems?

This morning I'm unable to download products either via DIM or manually. All manner of errors appear when I DL manually: "Failed", "Network Error", "Frobidden". Whether manual or DIM download, the files get up to a third of the way downloaded then fail.

I am currently downloading with DIM, but another user mentioned problems, so maybe there has been some hick-ups.

Update: some products have problems, but not all.

Downloaded manually my weekend catch in the morning (14 hours ago) and had no problems

I just tried in the last 15 minutes my order for today and only 7 items were successful. Three were failed and I can't delete the partials, nor download an Install Manager Ready nor a Manual copy of the file, as I got a time-out/cloudflare error. Something is up at that server.

...interesting that this is sort of on the heels of the issue reported last week  where when you finalise a purchase it attempts to perform an auto-download.

    Wonder if this is connected.

    they sold the hamster

so now Andy the intern is manually cranking the server, give him some slack broken heart

I finally managed to get the last three items to download, using the 'Install Manager Ready' files in my Product Library and then refreshing DIM one item at a time.

If I had to count the number of times this has happened to me since I started using DIM, I honestly don't think I would need both sets of fingers to count with. Not bad since 2016 considering everything that can go wrong on the internet.

....I just find it curiously coincidental, first the unwanted blank file downloads, and now issues when you want to download content.

Or maybe Andy is not being fed well enough and started dining on the wires. .

I remember someone saying that they were doing updates or improvements to the site and that was the reason for the false freebee banners and apparently related to the other problems too.

...hmm, that usually occurs during the October Plat-... err...Daz+ Anniversary Sale..

The  store is unusually slow to load for me today.

  • So should I be patient and wait till it lets me download again then?

I've been trying all day to get one file I purchased this morning.

  • Same here. Managed to download two products I bought today by babysitting DIM and spamming the retry button, but now it keeps resetting download progress of packages and so I can't even do that.

Yeah. With all the store issues, I wonder if I'll be able to buy anything when I get paid. (That, is if there is anything that catches my eyes. And the more site troubles the faster my eyes run.)

I can't download anything over 200 MB with DIM. It starts, then it fails.

Same here. I keep getting failed downloads in DIM for most of my recent purchases.

  • FWIW, I just picked up an assortment of things a few minutes ago and installed them with no problem with DazCentral (which I always use except for certain circumstances). The largest item was the new OOT hair at 600MB. Tested several items and they are installed and working fine.

I had noticed this thread and was watching for trouble, since I planned to make a buy today.

Same as everyone else-- I had five things to download this evening and only two went through. I'll try again tomorrow.

Maybe they order the wrong model of hamster.

    The hamster needs an upgrade.

  • Whew, glad I popped in here. DIM is very very slow right now. I thought it was something I did becuase I recently added another folder to a different drive to move some assets and it's just crawling to get even one thing downloaded.

Maybe it's time to start a report thread for the few things that actually work, around here?

    Short, quiet thread. :-)

Here "bad gateway" was always a issue with the daz site, I mean it's forever, when it happens I just wait and retry later. What's new is these "blank.html" that gets downloaded every time I place a order, they seem harmless though. Sure the daz site doesn't seem too much reliable, also considering recent payment issues that were reported.

So long as the upgrade is tested and the new hamster is healthy & happy. According to Daz_cpage's post here Daz made a error which led to all the problems.
