nvidia vmaterials not working

I am currently using Daz Studio 4.21.1.48 Pro Edition (64 Bit) Public Build and vMateials 2.0.

I am getting an error when applying the Daz material presets "Invalid node selection for "preset_shader" type". Am I using the wrong version of vMaterials for this version of Daz Studio.

    define "using vmaterials 2.0"

Does this mean youre using the vmaterials shader presets here or you have your own method of installation?

and you followed the instructions including mapping the MDL directories?

Note: these are shader presets, not "Materials" as described in your OP.

To apply Shader you need to select both the node in the Scene tab and the relevant surface(s) in the Surfaces tab before applying your preset.  This is true for all Shader Presets.  If you do not do this you will get error.

Yes I did all of the above. I am currently upgrading to version 2.1 to see if that corrects things.

If you google the error  "Invalid node selection for "preset_shader" type" it's just people not selecting nodes and surfaces properly

I have installed version 2.1 and converted some of the shaders to Daz presets and they are working correctly.

The vmaterial presets 2.0 from omniflux work perfectly fine anyway though without 2.1

Omniflux also has 2.1 on their mega link apparently (although i havent tried those), but if they are working then you wont need to set up presets manually https://mega.nz/folder/w4gwGSrQ#bz9b5zct78CZXixe0AxoNA
