fitting Harpy to other figs

So, I just got the Creatura Harpy and it's working on V4 as advertised. I'm trying to experiment a bit though, and tried fitting it to Genesis and G2F (specifically want to try it with the Raven). For Genesis it worked surprisingly well. For G2F the ends of the wings bunch up a bit. But in both cases there's a problem with the feet. The insides of the feet are merging with each other, no matter where I move them:
Anyone got advice on how to fix it, or is it just not going to work on new generation stuff?

My guess is that a part of each foot was considered as a part of the other foot by the autofit process. So you'd need to adjust the mesh in a modeller to put back those polygons where they should be, reassign them to the proper foot bone and adjust the weight maps accordingly
feet don't work between the different figures.
no shoes auto-fit well. this is a lost cause.
Not true a lot of shoes and boots autofit very well.
I've autofitted the frogs legs from the Ranaki and Ranaka sets, so the Harpy legs shouldn't really do what they are doing. What type of garment did you autofit them as?
It's as Leana says - load the legs on their own and you can see that the toes cross in the middle, so when AutoFit projects the weights some weight from the left leg is applied to the inner right toe and vice versa. To fix it you will need to edit the weight maps - but really, for something like this you are probably going to want to add new bones to the legs to repalce those lost in the AutoFit process anyway.
I've also used the Ranaki sets on other figs without problems. For this, I tried the whole string of autofit options.
Is editing the weight maps something that can be done within Daz or do I need another program?
Yes, you would do that in DS.
Sorry to bump this up after years, but I'm biting the bullet on getting this.
Can someone please explain just how to edit the weight maps? Preferably explained in a way that someone unfamiliar with how they work could understand it?
Otherwise, I'm gonna have to get a refund, which I don't want to do.
Thanks!
Actually, that I can help with now. Well, not now-now, as I'm trying to finish some things, but I can probably give a bit of a write-up on saturday or sunday.
