Problems with daz studio hanging when saving scene subset

So as it says above I am having problems with DS. (4.21. 64bit)

When saving a scene subset Ds will just hang "not responding"

it will save the subset. But I have to force close the program and restart to use the saved subset.

It didnt always do this. 

i have been installing a lot of daz content the last few days so have no idea as to what could have tossed the spanner.

looked in the error log and the only things that jump out are

[WARNING] :: QFile::flush: No file engine. Is IODevice open?

[WARNING] :: ..\..\..\..\..\src\pluginsource\DzIrayRender\dzneuraymgr.cpp(369): Iray [ERROR] - PLUG:PLUGIN ::   0.0   PLUG   plug error: Library C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio4\libs\iray\swresample-3.dll: symbol "mi_plugin_factory" not found.

 

So i am at a loss.

    I am having it too, looking for an answer. Many times the same error and it refuses to render the scene. I am not sure if this error is the reason though?

    I could swear I had gotten that one before without having any effect really. I got this one as well which may be my culprit, I have so many things loaded in the scene I have no idea what this other error refers to, just think I made a syntax mistake... somewhere.

    The "mi_plugin_factory" not found is popping up every now and then with different versions of DS, that's nothing to worry about.

    The "Syntax error - expected '{' or '['" means that a file DS is reading is incomplete or corrupted, happens often with files installed by DAZ Connect (within DS), and if one finds out which file it is, one can download it again and reinstall or try to fix the problem oneself by editing the code inside the file.

    It hangs for me too, but after a minute or so it gets going again.

    For me it happens only when the scene has clothing/hair fitted to some other generation than what they were meant for, and it doesn't take that long even then.

    Hi All

    I am talking about DS hanging without end.

    its does not get going again after a few mins.

    I did put in a ticket (15 days ago) I dont think it has even been looked at. "created 15 days ago" " last activity 15 days agon"

    my work flow is almost at a stand still.
