On a quest to find this dress! Any ideas?

So I spotted this cute dress on a promo for Indigo Ilka by Eichhorn Art. Any ideas what it might be? i've wracked my brains trying to find it here, or on rendo, but have come up entirely empty-handed!

From the looks of the dress, I immediately thought of IH Kang, Nelmi, Kobamax, or Mada, but no dice.  Ironman/Ironman13 has a tube dress for G3F/V7, but it is very short, as this dress appears longer.  What length are you looking for, and also which character series- G3F, G8F, G9F?  I have several dress bases which I can make more like this.

    Thanks, -David

Ooh, it's close! But I don't think it could be, since the belt comes up higher under the bust than it does on this one. However, I might be able to work a similar look with it, by loosening the dForce settings a bit. Thanks~

I don't think the dress is from Daz as the PA have listed several other Daz products being used, but not the dress.

Thanks for introducing some new artists to me! Kang's stuff looks fab

I'm not 100% sure what exactly it is I like about it, just seems like something I'd wear. It's very... wholesome. I'd prbably use it on G8 or convert to G9 -- I'm wondering if this is maybe a dForce product, going by the fabric draping and how it sits really nicely. It's driving me crazy lol

When you say bases, does that mean like there are dress base products you have, or like you've made some yourself???

    Hello arks0ng,

Here's a dForce dress I made for G3F about 2 years ago, but can adapt for G8 and G9.  I was going for a multi-tier look(trim bands slightly tighter), but i can change the dForce settings for a smoother appearance. I can also change material settings to hide/show differnt lengths too.  Please let me know what you'd like to see in terms of dress length, and also in terms of textures.

    Thanks, -David

I tried a quick version of modelling something similar. But I couldn't get dForce to create the similar wrinkles just below the belt.

That's cute! I did quite like the belt, but could maybe fit one myself -- as for textures, I suppose I would've just grabbed a simple blue linen one. I really don't know much about this, so don't even know what to suggest!! The dress length down to feet seems absolutely fine though --  that or coming to ankles for some cute shoes!

That's adorbs! I don't know how you do it! Nice job on the belt~ I wonder if one could use ghost dynamics to make wrinkles, although that'd be a lot of work for it to only work on a specific pose!

There might not be enough geometry. The quads has an edge-length around 8 mm.

But feel free to try. It is modelled towards G8F.

I have packed it in Daz Studio format. Textures are simple, so you can apply some shaders of your own choise.

    Some notes.

In the zip there are the dress and the belt, and a wearable that loads both.

    The belt is conforming.

The top row of polygons in the dress are its own surface. I use it to set a specific simulation settings, so we don't risk that the dress might slip down. I couldn't decide whether I should set the dynamic strength to 0 (i.e. no dynamic, and it will act as conforming) or a low setting to let it simulate a bit. Seemed to be dependant on the pose what worked best.

The dress has a risk of clipping with the belt. That can (at least in my experience) be solved by setting collision mode to best.

Seems like upload to the forums have most success getting closer to Daz midnight.
