Geografts not working correctly

Before today, when I would attach a geograft to any of my Genesis figures (tested on versions 3-9) it would work as expected. Today, I attach something like the male anatomy and all it does is parent it into place. I hide the anatomy and there is no opening in the base figure like in times past. I first noticed it when I was apply a geoshell and there wasn't added to the geoshell a material for the geograft. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Beta version of DAZ Studio 4.21 and the issue still exists. I did recently install the character converter for Genesis 9. Could that have caused an issue? I'm clueless.

So you mean the geograft was not fitted on the figure as the corresponding geometry on the figure was not hidden? Have you checked 'Fit to' slot in the geograft's Parameters, is it the figure or just empty? Or try to press Alt Shift + U or Alt Shift + T to assure you select the Universal or Translate tool, because if you use Geometry Editor, Node Weight Brush or Mesh Grabber tool, etc. the geograft will be 'floating'...

  • I'm talking about when you load a figure into the scene, select said figure in the scene tab, and then load another figure from the content library like anatomy. The anatomy is parented to the figure but isn't being conformed to the figure like a geograft. I hide the anatomy and the parts of the figure it's supposed to cover, is still there. I've tried it with Genesis 3 male, Genesis 8 and 8.1 male and Genesis 9. I every instance the same issue. I right click on the anatomy and click "fit to" and it tells me it's fitted to the figure. And it's not just the anatomy. When I first discovered the issue was with the STX nipples and navel on Genesis 9. I had used the figures before and not had an issue. I opened an old file (2 months old) where I had used then before and suddenly they are not conformed. I'm not understanding why it's not working no matter what figure I use.

  • The universal translate tool helped when dealing with new figure setups. Still trying to figure out why the existing file is not working as it should. Thanks!
