DAZ and new GTX 780ti causing kernel panic

Just installed a new GTX 780ti with external PSU to complement my current GTX 780. Using Mac Pro 5,1 with updated DAZ and Nvidia drivers. Was getting kernel panics with both GPUs installed; troubleshooted by removing GTX 780 and leaving 780ti in there. DAZ launched fine and tried to do a test spot render, but render froze and OS panicked again. Any ideas? GTX 780ti is a GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 780 Ti GV-N78TOC-3GD G-SYNC 3GB 384-Bit GDDR5. I have a crash report I can post. Thanks for any suggestions.

UPDATE: Did some thinking, rearranged the GPUs, putting the 780ti in the first slot, 780 in the second slot, kept my Cintiq display ported to the 780, and hallelujah it's pushing a spectacular test render maybe more than twice as first as before. CUDA cores are beautiful.

Sometimes you can get wield electrical problems with external PSUs, but it looks like you solved it.
