Am loving this thread, such creativity! Wish I more time right now to try things myself. As it is, I'll just keep hanging around here, waiting for more amazing renders to pop up. Great jobs, people!
Finally went back and found some tests that could be shown here. :)
An Airport security check station that began life as parts of several bank interiors and hallways,
a small police station that began as The AntFarm's School's Out schoolbuilding,
...those are really nice.
A few more, in a SF/Fantasy Vein
MIng The Merciless' Throne
1940's Pulp Magazine Style Mad Sicentist lab - the final image was framed much closer and added several henchmen who I removed to better show the set, and I also had to go back and paint over parts of the women in the tubes to make it DAZ safe. Believe it or not, this is really a pretty tame version of a commonplace type image to see on the newstands from the 1920s up through the early 70s. Kit-bash wise, it's basically just a lot of random props and objects tied together with primatives covered with various shaders and lighting effects...
If that airport security check station would have been a product, I would have bought it immediately! Very nicely done!
I see what you did there...
your "bashfu" is good !
As I said really liking what people are doing.
Been doing some more Kit Bashing.
This little super mini started life as a single seat "Nino" (you can get it here in the store.)
its a basic model.
still a few things to do to it , don't like the seats so will swap those out and will add a steering wheel, maybe something like the Aptera's
But so far apart from it now have two seats. the door windows now wind up & down. the driver console can be moved for left or right hand drive.
and the front wheels and not the whole front hub.

also had a play with an old model and much loved.
I am still finding new ways to use the old bot (this year I did some kit bashing on the legs, well his masters would make him in their own image)
11 years ago I added an extra torso and gave him four arms (was it really 11 years ago.
And another one is almost finished
I asked in another forum post about the Over Craft MI A2
But I got to looking at it and with a bit of kit bashing it would fit in with a project i'm working on.
just needs a bit of appropriate text on the side of the sweeper and a few flashing lights and I think its good to go.
So here it is.
i do have another kit bash in the work, well two. But they do go together.
Just have to get the scene they go sorted, its a paid for job but its a bit messy to work with. lots of parts.
didnt need to be that way.
These aren't anything like recent. I did them for a project which I completed in 2011, and the pieces used were pretty much all gen4 era-- or earlier. And extrapolated onto G1.
But I'm still fairly proud of them, since they turned out very much as I wanted. However much of a PitA it is to try to work with them (Jack Pumpkinhead is based on the old pumpkindead figure--which is a rigged set of clothing with no actual body, I was a challenge to get something that I could pose). The project was, of course, an Oz book, and I was aiming for something as close to the classic John R. Neil character designs as I could get.
I do like those, put a smile on my face.
Did you use them in a story?
I don't know if it's my "proudest" kit bash yet, as I am still working on it right now! LOL
1. It's Genesis 2 Anenome
2. Lorilei Mertail
3. RawArt's Mandolian skin texture for Genesis (1). I'm still tweaking the texture to make it fit better, but I think it's coming along swimmingly... lol
Ok thats cool.
webbed hands, i can remeber asking about webbed hands many many years back and was told at the time that it could not be done, maybe it couldnt back then . but nice to see now.
again love the character
Thanks, myotherworld.
Those webbed fingers are a "glove" with Anenome, if you're interested: https://www.daz3d.com/anemone-for-genesis-2-female-s
