Only "What do I do" in Surface Pane (Solved)

Help!

My DazStudio insists on only showing the "what do I do" in the surface pane.

Item is selected in Scene tab, item is selected in Surface tab - but only the "what do I do" shows on the right side. The submenus (General, Diffuse and so on) are showing the usual bars and sliders ...

What I tried until now: tried with loading another Workspace Layout, tried with loading another Style, closing and opening Dazstudio, loading a new item to the fresh scene ...

nothing doing ...

OK - just after giving up and writing that message ...

There is a small box "Show Sub Items" at the bottom of the left side - I seem to have unticked it accidentally.

Ticking it did the trick ...
