Are There Hair Brush Interaction Poses?

Hello all,

I wanted to make a scene where a woman brushes another woman's hair. Does anyone know if the Daz store sells any poses like that? I've been looking but can't find any.

Rarely see such a poses pack but mostly 'self comb or brush'.... while we usually pose the figures manually in this case. But you can well mix some similar or partial poses to save some time, like some poses from:

All kinds of them - but they come as a completely different purpose.

I'm releasing a new Dynamic Character Animation in Daz Studio video course, which shows how I do all of this.

In simplest terms, I borrow hand motions from one motion file, and combine it with the rest of another motion, and tweak them together.

It sounds difficult to do - especially for making one woman brush another woman's hair, but when you see how I do it, it's not difficult at all. In fact, it's really fun!

The course should be out soon, and it should have a nice, hefty discount on it too. There's a commercial thread on it HERE. If you have any questions, let me know. I'm always happy to help.

Actually it's pretty easy to make the required poses by using Active Pose Tool (Alt Shift + P), space bar to lock/unlock root nodes as needed and push and drag... maybe just a couple of mins... Just give it a try..

Good point, and sounds like fun.

I have an enormous collection of aniBlocks from here. Nearly all of them for Genesis 8 and newer.

I like using those for the motion capture data.

So even if my character is just standing there and I'm doing a closeup of the face, I still add an idle aniBlock for the natural movements of it. Then I use my dynamic method to form that data into what I want it to end up like. It's really easy, fast and... yes... it's fun!

But... yeah... hand key framing is a lot of fun too.

Yeah, agreed, though I'm not patient enough sometimes... cheeky
