adding a background image

HI all.

How do you add a background image in D/S?

John.

It's a .png file (presuming it is saved as the default format), so you could add one in gimp or photoshop.

If rendering in IRAY you could use an HDRI, and set it to render the background.

You could load some items suitable to use as a background scene.

I'm also presuming (although never done it in Daz) that you could add a texture to a plane and then position it.

Seem to remember that one can set the background colour too, but again I've not done that.

What sort of background are you after?

  • I should have said it is a backdrop I want to add.. In the older versions of the Studio all you had to was click Edit-backdrop-add backdrop. I assume the facility is still available in the new versions, but, how is it done?

It is now done through the Environment pane, Window > Panes (Tabs) > Environment.
