Help me

Hey guys. I started a little while ago and I'm still learning about Daz Studio, I wanted to know how I can hide only one of the shoes, for example, someone who has a leg in a cast will only wear one shoe. I tried to hide it on the right side of the panel, but it doesn't only interact with one of the shoes, it only interacts with both. Hope someone can help me.

In general you should be able to expand the entry in the Scene pane (I guess that is what you mean by the panel on the right) by clicking the t riangles next to the names, or by right-click on the entry, to get to the foot and toe bones and hide those - items from Daz should have sensible Selection Groups assigned, which control what gets hidden when a bone is set to be invisible.

(Hide the foot bones of the shoes, not the character)

Some shoes do not have 'full bones' in terms of their 'parts', so only hiding bones of the shoes might not really work. You may press Alt Shift + G to switch to Geometry Editor. Then RMB-menu in Viewport, use Selection Type - Polygons, Selection Mode - Marquee Selection, to select the shoe on one side and RMB-menu, Geometry Visibility - Hide Selected Polygon(s).

That will rset after a save and reload - but once you have the polygons selected you can use right-click>Geometry Assignment>Create Group from selected, then switch to the Joint Editor and (with one of the shoe foot bones selected) in the Tool Settings pane, at top-right. click the Selection group button and assign the group you just created. Then you can hide the bone as I originally suggested.
