AoA subsurface Shader enormous load times

Does anyone have any insight into why the AOA subsurface shader takes an enormous length of time to load? It's a real productivity cruncher for me when I happen to stumble on to a surface or materials that use it.

    It is a 3Delight shader. Maybe Daz Studio is trying to do a conversion to iRay Uber behind the scenes. I don't have any other guess.

    For a time it looked like it might have something to do with missing items in the content database, but while a clean-up helped for a bit, it seemed to revert to tediously long.
