Blender to Daz

heya

i watched a couple of videos about blender\daz workflow, and i seem to have some issue that none of the videos have.

i export from blender ad obj with materials groups and vertex groups selected (which i create in blender). when i add geometry to daz, it seems to add both materials and vertex groups as bones. and sometimes it not easy to sort them out. i also always have a bone named "off" for some reason.

should i uncheck the materials groups if "materials" in geometry is checked?

UPDATE: i would like to clarify- i'm talking about bringung props to daz from blender for rigging, so i need to know how to correctly identify my bones. if there are only vertex groups, it's clear. but when it's both vertex groups and materials it messes everything up

thanks

I use Materials for Surfaces in DS, and vertex groups if something shall be rigged.

I don't think I ever have exported Material Groups.

so if you need to rig something in daz (from blender) and it has material in blender, you export with vertex groups and WITHOUT material groups? assuming "materials" are checked in "gemetry" section
