3D smoke

What about some 3D-Smoke props with morphs? I have "fire" by smay and this product has some 3D-Smoke props but it would be cool to have some more and some larger, like from burning buildings or huge fires, from explosions and so.

    That is particle projections and the minds behind Look at My Hair plug-in hasve mentioned it is something they are working on.

    I have it on good authority from a very good PA, that they've almost completed a smoke-related prop which should be optimised for both 3Delight and Iray rendering. Stay tuned...

    I realize the question is about 3D smoke, but a good alternative IMHO is "Particle Illusion", a 2D effects program that can overlay any still or video.  Here is an example I did  (starts @ ~1:57, lower right):

    No, its not cheap, but it does a *LOT* of very nice effects, with literally hundreds of free presets, all of which are virtually infinitely adjustable.  And so can look pretty "3D".  More info including demo reels here:

    FilterForge is another option for smoke overlays (and lots more)

    ooo, sounds good. Hopefully that means it's volumetric. Now I can finally create an eerie foggy forest :-)
