With new Unity/Unreal bridge Interactive Licence is confusing and obnoxious?

Hi,

First up - there's some great model in Daz and think you guys are doing a wonderful job.

I'm developing a Unity game and thought I'd have a look at the new unity bridge you have. It's great! Although I haven't tried all the features yet. I went to buy some model and how EXACTLY does the interactive license work?

Some models have nothing in the interactive licence? Does that mean I can't use them as ai characters in a unity game, or interactive licence is included? I went to impulse buy a $5 model and it's interactive licenece is $35 (why is it 7X the price?[...]) It means "cheap" models are extremely poor value. Do I need to buy the interactive licence once for each artists or is it for every model? And if it's for every model, ok, but it looks like bundles have lots of models and only one interactive licence? Given how expensive the licence is relative to the model itself, it would mean I should buy everything in a bundle as much as possible, even though I probably won't use 80% of the bundle. Does becoming a member give me 30% off licencing as well?

If there is no interactive license then the product may not be used in 3D games.

The license prices reflect the base price, they are not discounted when the base price is (though they are soemtimes discounted in their own right).

Licensing is per product - regardless of the number of artists involved.

Yes, a bundle license does apply to all the parts in the bundle - whether the bundle or the parts are better value will obviously depend on what you want.

Just to add, you do not need to buy the inetractive licenses untilyou are ready to distribute the game - probably at the beta-testing stage - you don't have to buy a license while you are doing the initial development, and may decide you don't need the asset after all (or that the whole project is doomed). You also don't need interactive licenses for elements that are purely 2D - used only in pre-rendered cut-scenes, say, or as 2D sprites.
