Smooth a "Disk" or circle after the fact

Ok I modeled some hollow cylinders with a little thickness. Done in the vertex modeler . In hindsight I did not +++ enough to add more points to the original circle. So when rendering I can see some flats on the edges. Smoothing doesn't help. Subdivide and tessilate doesn't seem to help ( Just adds more verticies on the flat areas) Smoothing doesn't do the trick. Is there a way to add more resolution to a circle after is it modeled or do I just need to redo these parts? I'm guessing I just need to redo these parts. ( or maybe convert to spline and jack up fidelity?)
Thanks

can you post your image of where you are at?

Thanks, I just remodeled the part with more initial verticies.
Thanks
